Here\u2019s some interesting information you\u2019ll find in the report.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Bursts in traffic to Expatsi frequently follow notable political events.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The first spike in traffic occurred in 2022, following the Supreme Court\u2019s decision to overturn <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Roe v. Wade<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. In 2024, traffic saw two spikes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22927\" src=\"https:\/\/expatsi.devstudio.work\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/respondents-by-month-2024.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1006\" height=\"426\"><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">July, immediately following the Biden-Trump debate on June 27: 20,667 respondents<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">November, immediately following the election: 50,869 respondents<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Reasons for moving change from year to year.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> In 2024, moves for adventure and personal growth fell 12%, while moves because the U.S. is too conservative rose 10%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22928\" src=\"https:\/\/expatsi.devstudio.work\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Why-do-you-want-to-leave-US-2024.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1128\" height=\"432\"><\/p>\n<p><b>Some respondents are in more of a hurry than others.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> In last year\u2019s report. 40.1% of respondents hoped to move in the next 6 months to 2 years, and 6% hoped to move within the next 6 months. In 2024, 54% planned to move in 6 months to 2 years, and 12% wanted to be out within 6 months \u2014 that\u2019s <em>two-thirds of respondents<\/em> wanting to be out by the end of 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-22929 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/expatsi.devstudio.work\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/when-do-you-want-to-move-2024-e1741301021142.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1004\" height=\"276\"><\/p>\n<p><b>Many potential expats aren\u2019t entirely sure how they&#8217;ll do it.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> If you want to move abroad but don\u2019t entirely know how you\u2019ll do it, you\u2019re not alone \u2014 the largest group of test takers, 31%, also aren\u2019t sure.
