We talk about the happiest country in the world (it\u2019s Finland), or the most prosperous (Denmark), or the one with the best healthcare (depending on the definition of \u201cbest,\u201d it could be Norway, the Netherlands, or Australia). But what about the <\/span>least<\/span><\/i> important qualities? The Expatsi test doesn\u2019t account for those \u2014 but that doesn\u2019t mean they don\u2019t matter. So here are eight countries that are <\/span>the most<\/span><\/i> when it matters the least.<\/span><\/p>\n

 While India and Nepal generally battle for the top of this list, Nepal\u2019s highly diverse culture produces enough religious observances, regional celebrations, ethnic festivals, and other events to top the list. <\/span>With 35 public holidays a year<\/span><\/a>, every occasion is a special occasion.<\/span><\/p>\n

The most diverse country<\/h2>\n

Nepal might be extremely diverse (124 mother tongues, as of a 2021 census), but it\u2019s not the most diverse. <\/span>The honor goes to Uganda<\/span><\/a>, which boasts an ethnic fractionalization score (based on a calculation of ethnic, religious, and linguistic differences) of 93.02%. It\u2019s home to more than 50 distinct indigenous ethnic groups.<\/span><\/p>\n

The country with the longest coastline<\/h2>\n

If you\u2019re a dedicated beachgoer looking for the world\u2019s longest coastline, you might think about Australia, since the country is all coastline. You\u2019ll want to pack a sweater, though, because <\/span>the longest coastline actually belongs to Canada<\/span><\/a>, with 125,567 miles along the Atlantic, Pacific, and Arctic Ocean.<\/span><\/p>\n

The country with the most islands<\/h2>\n

The country with the most islands also requires a warm sweater \u2014 <\/span>Sweden comes in at the top<\/span><\/a> with 267,570 islands. It\u2019s followed by Norway, with 239,057, and Finland, with 178,947, before the numbers drop off significantly.<\/span><\/p>\n

When the topic of wine comes up, France usually comes to mind. But the real winner for wineries is its neighbor to the south, Spain. <\/span>Spain is home to around 4,100 wineries<\/span><\/a>, spread across 961,000 hectares of land \u2014 that\u2019s 13 percent of all winery land in the world. <\/span><\/p>\n

For the solitude of a small population, the country with the smallest is Vatican City, which is a population of 517 very specific people. <\/span>The next smallest is the South Pacific nation of Tuvalu<\/span><\/a>, which has 11,387 people spread across six coral atolls.<\/span><\/p>\n
